MADRID (ANP / RTR) – Spain has registered 31,428 new corona infections since Friday. The Health Ministry confirmed on Monday that a total of 671,468 people in the country have now contracted the virus. More than 30,000 patients have succumbed to Covid-19.
The Madrid region in particular has been hit hard by the second wave of the epidemic. Local authorities have declared a partial lockdown for the areas where corona is hitting the hardest. In fact, residents are only allowed on the road if their work requires it or if they have to see a doctor elsewhere. That decision sparked a lot of protest.
