Spain Pledges 55 Million Euros for Rebuilding Ukraine’s Cities and Infrastructure

“Ukraine is paying a heavy price in terms of the destruction of cities and infrastructure. That’s why we need to ensure that the country is rebuilt. This will create the conditions for its growth and prosperity. And we have already started,” Sanchez said.

“Today, my country, Spain, has decided to allocate another 55 million euros, among which we are offering 51 million euros to the World Bank Group to help finance small and medium-sized enterprises in Ukraine, and four million euros to the United Nations Development Program to provide Ukrainian schools with environmentally friendly and sustainable energy systems,” said the Spanish Prime Minister.

Sanchez arrived in Kyiv on Saturday, the first day of Spain’s presidency of the EU Council.
