Madrid., With a goal from Martín Zubimendi, the Spanish team beat Denmark by the minimum (1-0) this Saturday to become leader of its group on the third day of the Nations League, in a match played at the Enrique Roca stadium in Murcia.
The goal, by Real Sociedad midfielder Zubimendi (79), gives three points to Spain, which already has 7 and is placed first in group A4 ahead of Denmark (6) in a competition in which it is defending its title.
Coach Luis de la Fuente, who faced the game with his spine in the infirmary, introduced five changes compared to the last eleven against Switzerland in September.
Pedro Porro and Vivian in defense, Zubimendi in charge of the midfield replacing Rodri, Mikel Oyarzabal on the wing and captain Álvaro Morata who was once again the 9 of the ‘Roja’.

In the 61st minute Luis de la Fuente decided to give fresh air to the attack with the changes of Álex Baena and Mikel Merino for Oyarzabal and Pedri.
And it worked, Spain went one more gear and pushed with 20 left to go, with Álvaro Morata and Lamine Yamal as the main protagonists.
Both players scored the first goal in several actions, but a great Schmeichel frustrated the European champions’ actions again and again.
With barely ten minutes left, the Spanish coach brought on Joselu instead of Álvaro Morata, who left the field applauded.
Just after the change came Spain’s goal thanks to a shot from outside the area by Martín Zubimendi (79), so much so that the Danes complained about a possible foul in the Merino area.

On September 5, both teams met on the first day of the Nations League, winning 0-0 in Belgrade.
