Jak brings Reuters, about five thousand people gathered in the Palau Sant Jordi arena. Fans of the Spanish band Love of Lesbian had to wear masks, but maintaining social distancing was not required.

The surreal event from today’s perspective, wrote the Reuters Agency, could have come about thanks to the fact that all ticket holders were screened on the day of the concert. They were carried out in three locations by 80 pielgniarek. By noon, among the 2,400 tested, there were three infected people – the organizer later returned their money for unused tickets.

Antigen test results were obtained within 10-15 minutes and sent to participants via smartphone applications. The test itself, as well as the mask, were included in the cost of the ticket (prices ranged between 23 and 28 euro).

A Spanish pandemic experiment
“Getting into Palau Sant Jordi will be safer than walking down the street,” Jordi Herreruela, the concert’s co-organizer, told Reuters.
As reported by Sky News, this music and epidemic experiment approved by the Spanish government was in fact a pilot of a three-year research project funded by the EU’s Reconstruction Fund. Its purpose is to find out if a rapid test system can be effective in preventing COVID-19 outbreaks.
