Two goals from Fermín López set La Roja on the path to victory, finished off by Abel Ruiz, in the semi-finals against Morocco.
The Spanish national team and Japan met in the quarter-finals of the men’s football tournament for the 2024 Olympic Games. The match took place on Friday 2 August, from 5:00 p.m., at the Lyon Stadium. There, La Roja won 0-3 thanks to an outstanding performance by Fermín López, who scored two goals, and an admirable display by the FC Barcelona player.
Abel Ruiz finished off the job by scoring the last goal for Santi Denia’s men, who in the semi-finals will have to face one of the tournament’s great sensations, Morocco, with Hakimi, Abde, Akhomach and company. If Spain wins this duel, it will secure the silver medal. If it loses to the Atlas Lions, it will go in search of the bronze medal.
