SpaceX has conducted a new round of testing of its super-heavy Starship rocket, designed to send people and cargo to other planets.
Today, November 18, Elon Musk’s SpaceX successfully launched its super-heavy rocket called Starship. With its help, in the future it is planned to colonize the planets and satellites of the solar system.
The Starship launch video was published on the company’s official social media channel. H.
Starship was launched from a spaceport in Texas. Elon Musk personally commented under the video, writing: “Hope for humanity“.
It is worth noting that these are only rocket tests. If everything goes well, it will rotate around the Earth in orbit and will fall in the Pacific Ocean near the Hawaiian Islands.
According to the latest data, the first stage successfully separated from the rocket, after which the ship continued its movement along the intended route.
Starship is the largest and most powerful rocket ever built. Musk intends to use it in the future to deliver cargo and people to the Moon and Mars.
The US space agency NASA is closely monitoring the tests as it plans to use Starship for its Artemis 3 lunar mission, which involves landing astronauts on the Moon.
Note that in April, Starship tests ended in failure. The flight of the 120-meter rocket lasted only a couple of minutes, after which, having lost its course, it began to circle and was destroyed.
Recall that Elon Musk dreams of colonizing Mars. He initially planned to fly astronauts to the Red Planet in 2026, but later admitted that this was an unrealistic time frame. Now the billionaire intends to implement his idea in the next 10 years.
SpaceX has calculated that a flight to Mars on the Starship shuttle will take about 9 months. The company intends to create a domed settlement on the planet.
Dialog.UA previously reported that SpaceX launched the first civilian mission into space.
We also wrote that the crew of the first civilian SpaceX mission told about your condition in orbit.
