On November 15, 2020, four astronauts from Michael Hopkins, Shannon Walker, Victor Glover from NASA, and Soichi Noguchi from Japan Aerospace Research and Development Organization (JAXA). ‘Crew-1’ left Earth at Kennedy Space Center, Florida, USA. The four people aboard the manned capsule’Crew Dragon’ arrived at the International Space Station after 27 hours of flight, and set a new record on their 85th day in space on February 7th.
The previous record was set on the 84th day by crew members who served on NASA’s first space station Skylab in 1974. The Crew-1’s mission will be six months, and they are expected to renew their longest sojourn in U.S. space every day before returning.
