However, while NASA’s Kennedy Space Center reports near-perfect weather forecasts, a major hurricane in the northeast is causing the sea to churn all the way to the coast. The safety of the crew at risk of being threatened made SpaceX managers then decided to postpone the launch on Saturday (10/30/2021).
For crew launches, SpaceX required good weather along the East Coast and across the North Atlantic to Ireland. This is an anticipation if something goes wrong and the capsule is forced to make an emergency landing.
