Suara.com – Elon Musk’s aerospace company, SpaceX, remain optimistic about the Moon landing mission with NASA through the Artemis program can be done in 2024.
The space agency is working to bring humans back to the lunar surface through the program, which aims to establish a long-term and sustainable human presence on and around the Moon by the late 2020s.
Earlier in 2019, the Trump administration asked NASA to make the first Artemis crew landing in 2024.
Experts generally see the target as too ambitious and are pessimistic about whether the timeline will survive under President Joe Biden.

However, Musk thinks the target is completely achievable with the space transportation system Starship company, which NASA recently selected as the Artemis manned lunar lander.
“I think it will happen. I think 2024 looks likely,” Musk said on Friday (23/4/2021) at a press conference following the successful launch of SpaceX’s Crew-2 mission.
Reporting from Space.com, Monday (26/4/2021), even so Musk is still trying not to make his Starship prototype explode.
Since December 2020, SpaceX has conducted four altitude test flights of the Starship prototype. While all four vehicles performed well for most of the flight tests, none managed to land without exploding.
Musk plans to carry out a further test flight of the Starship SN15 which he claims has an upgrade.

Musk admits that he tends to be optimistic about his timelines, given the progress SpaceX has made in human space missions.
The company has now launched three crewed missions to Earth orbit in less than 12 months.
