The launch of a new unmanned spacecraft to the ISS space station has been postponed. The flight control has decided to do this, because there would be a technical defect with some valves at the engines.
It is not yet known when a new launch attempt will be made. To do this, the detected fault must first be rectified. The next opportunity is Wednesday at 6.57 pm Dutch time.
The delayed launch puts a damper on Boeing, which has developed the spacecraft dubbed the CST-100 Starliner. At the end of 2019, a first attempt also turned out to be a major disappointment: the capsule failed to reach the space station and returned to Earth after two days of nothing.
