Space X Brings 5 ​​Thousand Squid To The Space Station

NEW YORK – A spaceship carrying more than 100 children squid bobtail and 5,000 microscopic animals, will be sent to the International Space Station (ISS) at midnight tonight.

As reported by Unilad, according to the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the Falcon 9 rocket will carry microscopic animals along with some other equipment for experiments, to the ISS.

NASA hopes this experiment will help scientists understand the effects of space travel.

The Space X rocket launch will be broadcast live by NASA.

A total of 128 baby squid of the bobtail species will be used as part of a study of the effects of space travel on beneficial interactions between microbial and animal life.

The agency reported, squid have an immune system that is quite similar to that of humans.

According to NASA, the experiment could support the development of protective measures to maintain the health of astronauts during long space missions.
