SP.A asks Minister Weyts to intervene: “Figures on limits …

Flemish Member of Parliament Annick Lambrecht (SP.A) asks Parliament to restart the former Committee on Cross-Border Behavior. She is doing this in response to the new research into transgressive behavior in youth sport.

That study found that 82 percent of the young people surveyed said they were victims of psychological transgressive behavior. One in two also speaks of physical misconduct and one in four complains of sexually transgressive behavior.

“Those numbers are nothing short of hallucinatory,” says Annick Lambrecht. “Two years ago there was already a committee within the framework of #MeToo. But this new study reveals that we are clearly dealing with a specific problem here. Such figures should not come up after the previous committee. We ask Minister of Sport Ben Weyts (N-VA) to intervene. ”
