Puducherry: Southern Region will face Eastern Region in Deodar Cricket Final. The Eastern Region entered the final after defeating the Western Region by 157 runs in the crucial match. The Southern Region had already qualified for the title fight. The final is on Thursday.
Ryan Parag’s 68-ball 102 led Eastern Region to 319 for seven in 50 overs. Kumar Kushagra (53), Utkarsh Singh (50) and Virat Singh (42) also shone.
In reply, Western Region were bowled out for 162. Only Harvick Desai, who scored 92 runs, could hold on. Mani Shankar Murasingh took five wickets. Eastern region has 16 points and Western region has 12 points.
