On February 22, 2023, the Southern Border Provinces Peace Dialogue Group led by Gen. Wanlop Raksanoh and a BRN delegation led by Uztas Anas Abdulrahman. The 6th Plenary Meeting and Discussion was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with General Tansri Datosri Zulkeifli Zainal Abidin as the facilitator. And there are experts joining the observation as well. 1. The Peace Dialogue Committee and the BRN delegation agreed to jointly create “Joint Comprehensive Plan towards Peace (JCPP)” as a guideline to drive dialogue. make progress in a comprehensive and holistic way There is also a clear time frame. In accordance with the spirit of the General Principles of the Peace Dialogue Process in the Southern Border Provinces (JCPP), the JCPP will have two main contents: reducing violence in the area and holding consultations with the people to leading to the search for a political solution
2. The parties agreed to set a timeline for JCPP-related actions to be implemented in 2023 and 2024. The conclusions drawn from the process will be put into practice to solve problems and bring permanent peace to the area in a sustainable manner.
3. The talking partners assigned technical working groups of each party to arrange an informal discussion and exchange of views between March and May 2023 in order to jointly complete the details of the JCPP and present it to the committee. Discussed in full in June 2023 to consider approval to start the next step.

The talking partners congratulated the facilitators on the occasion of starting their duties. which both parties agree that Tan Sri Zulkeefli’s determination and commitment to action was instrumental in encouraging the Dialogue Partners to reach preliminary consensus on the JCPP at this Dialogue and will contribute to Ensure the preparation and implementation of the JCPP in the next phases are smooth in time.
