FAJAR.CO.ID, MAKASSAR — South Sulawesi Police Head of Propam, Kombes Pol Zulhan said that his party was currently investigating reports regarding a search at the house of the Gelora Party Legislative Candidate, Ruslan Abd Gani.
From information obtained by dawn.co.id, the search took place at Ruslan’s house in Makassar District, Makassar City, on Wednesday (27/12/2023) at around 01.55 WITA.
“The Gelora Party legislative candidate’s report is being investigated,” said Zulhan when confirmed via WhatsApp message, Thursday (28/12/2023) evening.
As previously reported, the residence of the Makassar City DPRD legislative candidate from the Gelora Party with serial number 9 was searched in the early hours of Wednesday, (27/12/2023) at around 01.55 WITA.
The searchers admitted to being members of the Makassar Police, stating that their presence was aimed at carrying out investigative operations related to public reports.
Ruslan said that his house was checked for about 20 minutes by a person who was acting as a police officer.
“Approximately 20 minutes of checking my house, while our family was resting, of course that was detrimental to us,” said Ruslan, Thursday (28/12/2023).
Ruslan said that if it was true that it was the police who searched his house, then that would be a very unfortunate thing.
“If it is true that it was the police, we would be very sorry, and we also have CCTV evidence from the search process,” he said.
Ruslan continued, these individuals were also unable to show their assignment letters that met operational standards.
