MAKASSARKOMPAS.com – After conducting investigations and conducting cases fraud and embezzlement, South Sulawesi police investigators finally named PT SLV Modern Travelindo travel owner Selvi Ahmad Firdaus as a suspect.

The Director of Special Criminal Investigations at the South Sulawesi Police, Kombes Police Helmy Kwarta Rauf, told reporters on Wednesday (10/19/2022) that his party had filed a case and raised the status of the alleged case. of PT SLV Modern Travelindo fraud to an investigation.

“After examining the victims and gathering evidence until the case was closed, the SLV case moved on to an investigation. We also named the owner of the SLV (Selvi Ahmad Firdaus) as a suspect,” he said.

Even so, Helmy continued, his party has not yet arrested the suspect.

“The suspect has not been arrested. As for the other suspects, we cannot name them. Later,” he said.

Helmy said investigators had not calculated the casualties suffered. However, the alleged case of fraud with this promotional mode of travel caused many victims.

“The total loss is not yet available in its entirety. But there are those who pay Rp. 7 million to Rp. 8 million,” he explained.

Helmy added that the suspicion in this case is subject to the articles of the Electronic Information and Transactions Act.

“What is clear is that everyone involved in harming a lot of people will be acting according to their respective roles,” he said.

It is known, victims of fraud and embezzlement with the mode of travel who have reached a total of Rp 3 billion reported to the South Sulawesi Regional Police to collect money by installing billboards (scoreboard).
