Reijmerstok is one of the locations in South Limburg where recordings are made for the film ‘Kwestie van Geduld’. A fair scene is being shot on the square.

Emmy Rodler has a perfect view of the film set from her balcony. She lives on the square in Reijmerstok and that is precisely the setting where the crew, actors and many extras are at work. “It’s great to see how something like this is made. It all seems very messy, but if you pay attention there is structure in it.”
From her honorary seat on the balcony, she is confident that things will work out: “I’ll definitely go to the cinema when the movie comes out.”
Heartbreaking
‘Matter of Patience ‘is a romantic comedy. The direction is in the hands of Ruud Schuurman. Barbara Sloesen plays the lead role. In short, the romantic comedy is about Monica who doubts whether she should return from Amsterdam to her native soil in Limburg.
A heartbreaking choice, of course. She has to choose between a flashy career and a childhood sweetheart.

Barbara Sloesen about her own character in the film: “What would I advise ‘Monica’? Phoeeh. That’s a tough question,” she says. “I am really enjoying my time in Amsterdam now, but there will come a time when I will go to the outdoors more. So I would say Monica, go back!”
Dialect
Peggy Vrijens is an actress in film and was born and raised in Maastricht. Because the film is largely set in Limburg, she offers her colleagues advice on language and pronunciations in the dialect. “That is of course quite difficult because there is so much difference in Limburgish. So yes, I push Maastricht a bit, I think.”
Rowwen Hèze
North Limburg does not have to feel disadvantaged. The title of the film is of course derived from the Rowwen Hèze hit ‘Limburg’ where it is only a matter of time when the whole of Holland is talking Limburgish. Venlo resident Lex Uiting also has a role to play.
During the fair scene in Reijmerstok, Lex actually has to remain himself. On stage he plays and sings his song ‘Nao’ t Zuuje ‘.
Issue of Patience will premiere next year.
