Lebanese Hezbollah announced on Tuesday that it had targeted the Israeli “Al-Malikiyah” site, indicating that it had been directly hit.
The party said in a statement: “In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their brave and honorable resistance, the Mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance this morning targeted the Al-Malikiyah site with appropriate weapons, and it was directly hit.”
He also announced in a second statement the targeting of “the enemy soldiers’ deployment points in the vicinity of the Jal al-Alam site with appropriate weapons.”
This comes as the border between Lebanon and Israel has witnessed tension and intermittent exchange of fire between the Israeli army and Hezbollah since the start of the aggression on Gaza on October 7, which resulted in thousands of martyrs and wounded.
On the other hand, two Israeli marches targeted empty areas between the Beit Lev and Ramiya areas, according to the official Lebanese National News Agency.
The agency had previously spoken of a cautious calm that prevailed last night and until the early hours of this morning over the villages of the western and central sectors, which were bombed last afternoon and evening.
She pointed out that “the (Israeli) reconnaissance aircraft flew over the region, reaching the outskirts of the Tire region and the sea coast, at a low altitude, focusing its flight over the course of the Litani River.”
Israel attacks the sources of two missile launches
For its part, Israel announced on Tuesday that it attacked the sources of two missile launches that it detected from Lebanese territory towards it.
The Israeli army said in a statement: “Two shells were detected from Lebanese territory towards the Malkiya region in the north of the country.”
He added: “The Israeli army attacked the sources of fire with artillery.”
The Israeli army continued: “According to policy, an alert was activated in the application in an open area.”
After a new exchange of bombing yesterday, Monday, between Israel and Hezbollah, Benny Gantz, a member of the Israeli war government, discussed with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken the “increasing attacks” by Hezbollah and the need for Israel “to eliminate this threat.”
In parallel, the US government expressed its “concern” about information published by the Washington Post stating that Israel used American-made white phosphorus munitions during strikes in Lebanon in October.
