South Lampung (ANTARA) – The South Lampung Regency Health Service (Dinkes) said there were eight cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) during January 2023.
“During the month of January there were eight cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF),” said Head of the Communicable Disease Prevention and Control Division of the South Lampung Regency Health Office Basuki Didik Setiawan, when contacted in South Lampung, Saturday.
Furthermore, he said, it is likely that the number of dengue cases will continue to grow.
“Facing the rainy season at the beginning of the year, there is potential for an increase in dengue cases,” he said again.
His party has instructed all health centers in South Lampung Regency to hold counseling related to DHF.
“All health centers have been instructed to carry out prevention activities such as counseling, eradication of mosquito nests (PSN), periodic larva monitoring (PJB),” he also said.
The Health Office of South Lampung Regency has handled DHF patients.
“All cases have been followed up, such as handling patients, carrying out epidemiological investigations (PE) and conducting fogging focus if they meet the PE outcome criteria to break the chain of transmission,” Didik said.
Didik hopes that the people of South Lampung implement Clean and Healthy Behavior (PBHS). “So that all levels of society carry out PHBS,” he said again.
He also hopes that the people of South Lampung will carry out the Eradication of Mosquito Nests (PSN) with 3M Plus to eliminate breeding grounds for mosquitoes that cause DHF.
“If anyone has fever, fever without a clear reason, they should immediately go to a health care facility so that if the disease leads to DHF, it can be treated as early as possible, and not experience severity or even death,” he said again.
