South Korea shockingly defeated Portugal in their Group H match for the 2022 World Cup held at Education City Stadium, Al Rayyan on Friday (2/12) evening.
South Korea won 2-1 over Portugal. Portugal took the lead in the fifth minute thanks to a goal from Ricardo Horta.
But South Korea managed to equalize in the 27th minute thanks to Kim Young Gwon’s goal after receiving the rebound from Ronaldo’s back during a corner kick.
South Korea finally managed to secure a 2-1 victory over Portugal thanks to Hwang Hee Chan’s goal in the 90+1 minute after continuing Son Heung Min’s pass.
This victory allowed South Korea to qualify for the round of 16 together with Portugal, winners of Group H.
Interestingly, after the match, a video of two South Korean fans looking for Ronaldo went viral on social media.
They seemed to be making fun of Ronaldo who played but didn’t see his appearance in the match against South Korea.
