South Korea’s National Security Council held an emergency meeting Saturday, after North Korea launched several cruise missiles into the Yellow Sea, according to a presidential official.
South Korea’s Yonhap news agency quoted the official as saying that the National Security Council meeting was chaired by Deputy National Security Adviser Lim Jong-deok to discuss the state of readiness.
And the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff announced that North Korea launched the missiles at about four o’clock in the morning.
