South Korea’s Emergency National Security Council Meeting Following North Korea’s Cruise Missile Launch

South Korea’s National Security Council held an emergency meeting Saturday, after North Korea launched several cruise missiles into the Yellow Sea, according to a presidential official.

South Korea’s Yonhap news agency quoted the official as saying that the National Security Council meeting was chaired by Deputy National Security Adviser Lim Jong-deok to discuss the state of readiness.

And the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff announced that North Korea launched the missiles at about four o’clock in the morning.
