Seoul (ANTARA) – South Korean stocks ended higher on Monday, posting gains for the third straight day as the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) rose 1.30 percent or 31.22 points, to 2,427.91 points. The KOSPI index edged up 0.01 percent or 0.21 points to 2,396.69 points last Friday (11/9/2020). The index strengthened 0.87 percent or 20.67 points to 2,396.48 points on Thursday (09/10/2020), and fell 1.10 percent or 26.10 points to 2,375.81 points on Wednesday (9/9/2020) ).
Trading volume totaled 953.4 million shares worth 11.9 trillion won (10 billion US dollars), up from last weekend’s 872 million shares valued at 11.9 trillion won (10 billion US dollars).
Meanwhile, the local currency ended at 1,183.5 won against greenback, rose 3.4 won from the close of trading last Friday (11/09/2020).
