A few hours later, the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office in South Korea asked the court to arrest Lee Jae-myung on suspicion of bribery, dereliction of duty, and inciting others to commit perjury. South Korea’s Minister of Justice Han Dong-hoon responded that “judicial investigations cannot be suspended just because the suspect is on hunger strike.”
