SERAMBINEWS.COM – Yonhap reported that South Korean forensic authorities found no link between the death of a 17-year-old boy and the flu shot.
This confirmation was provided by the South Korean government amid growing concerns about the safety of the vaccine following the deaths of 32 people in the country.
Citing Reuters, the teenager was one of the first to be reported to have died as part of a government campaign to vaccinate some 30 million people out of a total population of 52 million to help prevent complications from the coronavirus.
Data released by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) put the death toll at 25 on Thursday last week.
This condition prompted doctors and politicians to ask the South Korean government to stop the program.
Yonhap reported on Friday that there were seven new deaths yesterday.

South Korean health officials refused to suspend the campaign because there was no evidence of a direct link between the deaths and vaccines.
South Korea’s National Forensic Service conducted autopsies on some of the dead and found the vaccine did not cause the 17-year-old’s death, Yonhap said, citing police.
Forensics and police could not be reached for comment.
