South Korea wants to prevent problems like in the USA and Europe

Premier calls for thorough preparation of the mass vaccinations planned from February – Japan wants to start at the end of February – No new cases in the largest Australian state

The South Korean Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun has called on the KDCA to prepare thoroughly for the mass vaccinations planned from February. The ministries involved would also have to help speed up the process to prevent problems like those in the US and parts of Europe, Chung said on Monday. “The KDCA should be perfectly ready for the whole process from the moment the vaccine arrives – distribution, storage, vaccination and follow-up.”

Japan wants to start vaccinations by the end of February, according to Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga. He also announced that he would be examining an emergency in Tokyo and surrounding provinces. This announcement, already widespread in the media, weighs on the Tokyo stock exchange. Japan recorded a good 4,500 new infections on December 31, a record. About 126 million people live in the country.

Australia’s largest state, New South Wales, saw no new cases for the first time in almost three weeks. However, Vice Prime Minister John Barilaro called on the population to be tested again. Experts have expressed concern ahead of a planned multi-day cricket game from 7 January between Australia and India in Sydney, which is expected to attract 24,000 spectators.
