SEOUL (Reuters) – South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol said on Wednesday that the country has never supplied Ukraine with lethal weapons.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday that relations between the two countries would fall apart if South Korea supplied Ukraine with weapons.
Yun said of Putin’s remarks: “We are united with the international community in providing peaceful and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine and we have not provided lethal weapons. It is a matter of sovereignty,” he told reporters.
“We are making efforts to maintain peaceful and good relations with all countries of the world, including Russia,” he said.
