“This is a signal that we must take very seriously”, the South Holland South security region said in a message. “We advise everyone in our region to be extra vigilant.”
A safety region goes from risk level ‘worrisome’ to ‘serious’ when there are more than 150 positive test results per 100,000 inhabitants in a week. Or if more than 10 percent of the tests taken are positive. In the South Holland South safety region, 243.5 positive test results per 100,000 inhabitants were obtained this week. Tomorrow’s figures have yet to be added.
The safety region of Rotterdam-Rijnmond has been designated a serious risk level since 28 September.
