A shortage of pilots, maintenance problems, bad weather and a large flow of passengers, has caused the cancellation or changes of flights of airlines such as American Airlines.
At Miami International Airport, some expressed their frustration at the problem that has affected them in a time of great movement, and this time just after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ingrid Orellana has been in airports for 24 hours. “Two flights and I hope they are not going to leave me with that they are going to cancel it again,” he says.

Between Friday and Monday, American Airlines reported more than 390 cancellations.

The forecasts are not very encouraging. From July 2-15, American expects to cancel 50 to 80 daily flights.

“There are many people waiting to search their luggage, but there is no one to attend to them,” says one traveler.
In a statement, American Airlines said that most of the changes are made in markets where other flight options exist. When this is not possible, customers can receive a full refund. They ensure that all travelers will be notified.

And if you have not bought your ticket yet, it is very likely that you will have to pay much more. According to experts, these cancellations could lead to an increase in rates.
