The Orlando Pirates’ slow start to the season continued Tuesday night after a 0-0 draw in the league by the newly promoted Marumo Gallants. Mamelodi Sundowns was also hooked by Chippa United in a second goalless draw at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium the same evening.

With Tuesday’s goalless draw at Peter Mokaba Stadium, the Buccaneers have now played three official games without a win at the start of this new campaign. Or a second successive draw in the Premier Soccer League following a defeat in the quarter-finals MTN Cup 8.

The draw between Mamelodi and Chippa United on matchday two allows the Chilli Boys and the Masandawana to be placed respectively first and second in the Premier Soccer League standings. They each have four points.
