Israel has been brought to the International Court of Justice by South Africa on charges of ‘genocide’ against the people of the Gaza Strip.
Since the war between Israel and Hamas began, the number of Palestinians who have died has exceeded 21,600.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that more than 21,600 Gaza residents have lost their lives so far.
There are far more civilians, including children, than soldiers.
South Africa filed a complaint against Israel to the International Court of Justice on charges of genocide.
It accused Israel of acting with the intention of destroying the Palestinian people.

Israel rejected the complaint, saying it was untrue and lacked legal basis.
However, criticism from the international community is pouring in, with the Minister of Defense saying last October that he was fighting ‘human beasts’ and making comments that could be linked to genocide.
