The issue of the number of yellow cards in our representatives was one of the worst topics before the last training camp Paulo sousy. We wondered which players are in danger of being suspended and which players should look for a yellow card in the match against Andorra in order to pause the game against Hungary and be able to play in the play-offs.

So it happened in the case of Grzegorz Krychowiakwho was punished with a card in Andorra and could not play at the National Stadium on Monday. He did not see the card yet Kamil Glikto whom Sousa gave time off in the match against Hungary. Mateusz Klich suffered the most, as he was punished on Monday, which excludes him from the first play-off game.
FIFA cancel cards before play-offs?
In the near future it may turn out that all these discussions were completely unnecessary. FIFA is considering introducing an amnesty for players who are only one page away from the suspension. The current rules make it clear that play-offs are part of the elimination and all cards from the group stage also count in them.
UEFA, however, applied for all yellow cards after the group stage to be canceled. Currently, this applies to as many as 107 players who will take part in the play-offs. The Turkish national team has the most, as many as 13, at risk. In Poland, apart from Glik, these are Bartosz Bereszyñski, Matthew Cash, Micha³ Helik, Tomasz Kêdziora, Arkadiusz Milik, Tymoteusz Puchacz, Damian Szymañski and Karol ¦widerski.

The application submitted by UEFA must be approved by FIFA by November 26. It is on this day at 5:00 pm that the draws will be drawn. The Polish national team will not be seeded there. This means that Sousa’s team will play their first game away, and our opponent will be one of: Portugal, Italy, Scotland, Russia, Sweden, Walia.
The first play-off matches will be played on March 24. Decisive meetings five days later.
