Sources said Syria was resisting Russia’s efforts to broker a Turkish summit

BEIRUT/ANKARA: Three sources said on Friday that Syria was resisting Russian efforts to broker a summit with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, following more than a decade of bitter hostility since the outbreak of civil war in Syria.
However, two Turkish sources, including a senior official, doubt Damascus is delaying and say things are on track for an eventual meeting between the two leaders.
