This year marks the centenary of the birth of Leni Alexander, composer and outstanding fighter for human rights, whose life and work left an indelible mark on the musical and cultural history of Chile. In honor of his legacy, we invite everyone to participate in “Los Ruidos de la Memoria”, a contemporary musical theater that pays tribute to his life and work .
“The Noises of Memory” is a unique experience that, through pieces of her writings and texts, weaves a good story of Leni Alexander’s experiences, her reflections and her promises. The montage reveals many aspects of Leni: her relentless fight for memory and human rights, her identity as a Jewish immigrant who arrived in Chile after Kristallnacht, her time in exile during the dictatorship, and her role as a woman, composer and mother.
This tribute is an opportunity to connect with the rich heritage of an artist whose story is marked by resilience and creativity. Leni Alexander is also the mother of the actor Bastian Bodenhöfer, the composer Andreas Bodenhöfer and the artist Beatrice Bodenhöfer, who has continued her legacy in the cultural field.
We invite you to be part of this emotional tribute which, beyond memory, is a celebration of the memory and life of a woman who defied adversity and contributed to our cultural heritage.
