Journalist detik com heard boom sound on Friday (01/06/2023) around 0939 WIB in Gambir area, Central Jakarta.
The boom sound sounded pretty loud. But the source of the sound is not known for sure.
Netizens also talked about the booming sound. The rumor was heard by residents in several locations in Central Jakarta.
A netizen said that he heard the sound of the explosion from the area of Jalan Tanah Abang 3, Central Jakarta. Other Tanah Abang netizens also said they heard the sound.
Other netizens also said they heard the sound of the explosion from the South Petojo area.
“Yes, I heard an explosion 20 minutes ago, just once,” said a resident when met in the Monas area.
Another resident who was met in Monas also admitted that the sound was quite loud.
Residents around Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat in central Jakarta also said they heard the bang.
When contacted, the fire brigade (damkar) received no news of the source of the blast.
