DARMSTADT – (job). In the dispute over the political profile, the Darmstadt “Americana” series moved out of the educational theater in the summer. Now, curator Thomas Waldherr has found a place in the Bessunger Knabenschule for his big concert, which in the run-up to the presidential election should set an example for a non-racist, solidary and fair America. “Love Songs for the Other America – Revisited” is the name of the evening on October 24th, which follows on from a concert in January 2017, one day before Donald Trump took office. “We want to take sides against Trump very clearly,” says Waldherr, “only if he is voted out, there is any hope for a progressive and diverse America.”
From 8 p.m. on the stage will be nationwide known Americana musicians such as Biber Herrmann and Tess Wiley, the Darmstadt singer-songwriter Vanessa Novak and Rhein-Main-Americana veteran Wolf Schubert-K. a.
