The SoundCloud music streaming platform is said to be set to roll out a new payment system that allows users to directly pay the artists they listen to. If the information is true, it would make SoundCloud the first music streaming service to adopt such a compensation model. With this direct payment system, SoundCloud would go one step further in favor of independent artists.
