Bruce Swedien, the sound engineer responsible for the sound of Michael Jackson’s album, among others Thriller, passed away on Monday at the age of 86. His daughter reports that on Wednesday Facebook.
According to Roberta Swedien, her father passed away peacefully.
Swedien worked in the music industry for over 65 years. During that period the sound engineer won five Grammys. He mainly became known for his work with Jackson and producer Quincy Jones.
Jackson won with the album, partly designed by Swedien Thriller (1982) eight Grammy Awards. Thriller is still the world’s best-selling album of all time.
