Performed by Iliya Mihailov, the Nationwide Philharmonic Choir on the Sofia Philharmonic began a cycle of three live shows, that are united underneath the title “Sound Dialogues”.
Dialogues are absent, after all – between authors from totally different eras, utilizing totally different compositional strategies and approaches, having totally different sound views and aesthetic notion. A few of the composers knew one another properly – Mozart was a pupil of Haydn, and others lived so way back – some 400 years in the past or extra – that the main points of their lives, in addition to a lot of their music, are shrouded in time. Leonard Bernstein and the Estonian composer Arvo Pärt by no means met, though they each composed their music within the twentieth century.
