Sound cuts out during Elbow concert in Ziggo Dome | NOW

On Friday evening, during the concert of the British band Elbow in the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, the sound suddenly went out. Both the sound of the band and vocalist Guy Garvey fell from one moment to the next.

Dozens of videos and messages of the moment in question soon circulated on social media. According to visitors, the men of Elbow left the stage after the sound disappeared. The unexpected break meant a lot of crowds for the bars of Ziggo Dome, because long lines immediately formed.

After fifteen minutes the technical problem was solved and the concert was continued. It is not clear what the cause of the defect was. The Ziggo Dome could not be reached for comment on Friday evening.

Elbow’s performance was dominated by the group’s eighth album, Giants of all Sizes. It was the biggest show the group has ever given in the Netherlands.
