She became famous for the character “Maysa”, which she played in the series “Diary and Nice”, in its first five parts, which began in 1994.

I was born Suad Nasr On December 26, 1953, in the Shubra district of Cairo, her dream and commitment was to become a journalist.

However, she was destined to enter the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, from which she graduated in 1975.

He played a tragic scene in the story of “Yassin and Bahia” in his graduation project, which heralded his birth as a professionally capable artist.

The first job she appeared in was her role in the comedy ‘The Dabash Family’ for the owner of the first credit, according to what she said in one of the press interviews, ‘Samir Al-Asfouri’.

Her first recorded appearance was in 1971 when she participated during her studies in the show “Yassin Weldi” and was directed by her discoverer of comedy, Karam Mutawa, who found in it a comedian, contrary to what she believed, that she is only suitable for the tragedy.

In the beginning of his career, Souad Nasr participated in many works, including the film “Apartment in the center of the village” and the series on the deserted beach, and the comedy “The lesson is over, stupid” in 1975.

Her roles varied between film, television and stage, and she had her own stamp in every way.

His real breakthrough was through his participation in the movie ‘Killer Jealousy’ in 1982

After that, she continued her film roles, the most notable of which was her role in the film ‘Here is Cairo’ which placed her among the comedy stars in Egypt through her simple portrayal of the character Al-Saeediya , who comes with her husband to visit Cairo, and who played the role of his character, the artist Mohamed Sobhi.

Souad Nasr acted on stage after participating in ‘Al Hamji’ show in 1985 and ‘The Wanis Family’ show in 1997.

Mohamed Sobhi also participated in two of the most successful Arabic comedy TV series namely ‘Rehlat Al-Million’ series in 1984 and ‘Diary and Nice’ series, with its first five parts, started in 1994.

The character ‘Maisa’, which she played, achieved unparalleled success with the public, so much so that she even mentioned in some press interviews that fans call her ‘Mama Maysa’.

He participated again with director Youssef Chahine and presented the film “Alexandria New York” in 2004, after which he participated in his latest work, which is the film “Life is the Ultimate Pleasure” in 2005.

She married twice in her life, the first time was to the artist Ahmed Abdel-Warith, and bore him a daughter and a son, Tariq and Fayrouz, but this marriage ended and it was said because the two parties realized that they were of different natures.

The second time was from the petroleum engineer Mohamed Abdel Moneim, with whom he completed his private life

And it will not stop only at drama and cinema, but has also presented important plays, such as “Al-Hamji, Earn Ya Khisha, Walnuts and Almonds, The Wanis Family, The Parachute, The Family of Ten Stars, Me and Her and the computer.”

And the artist, Souad Nasr, recited her will alone, after waking up from a coma of just 5 minutes, where she spoke with her husband, Mohamed Abdel Moneim, who told in more than one television interview, of having recommended to him, hurry up and bury her, and that her family remain for a whole hour in front of her grave, to invite her to have mercy on her

She prayed, saying, “Our Lord, let me die with the righteous,” and then returned to go into a coma, then died.

Sheikh Sayed Hamdi, interpreter of visions and dreams, said while presenting an episode of his program broadcast on the Egyptian satellite channel, that the artist, Souad Nasr, called him one night in 2005 and was terrified to tell him a dream that he was upset, and she said she saw in her vision slippers and house shoes fall off her, except that her father, who is dead, brought them back to her, so he went to her, holding her hands, across a very narrow room , and spent 7 days with him, and asked him to expand the room.

And Sheikh Sayed Hamdi went on to say that the day the late artist Suad Nasr called him was his birthday, and she was preparing to enter the hospital, so he explained his vision to her and told her that the shoe symbolizes walking, and if she falls, that means falling quickly into disaster, such as for the narrow room, is her grave and the 7 days The completion of the week or year, that is, the coming of the year 2007, and told her that the expansion of the grave or the narrow room is repentance and regret.

He emphasized that she said, “I am going to change the course of my life and start a new life because I love the Quran and the Messenger.” from the end of 2005 to 2007.

The cause of Souad Nasr’s death

She underwent liposuction in a Cairo hospital and fell into a coma for a year after receiving an anesthetic in preparation for the procedure.

And his last words before his death were: “My Lord, if you send me a soul, then send it pure, and if you let me die, then let me die with the righteous.”

Her husband, engineer Mohamed Abdel Moneim, said, according to some newspapers, that she woke up from a coma for about five minutes, and recommended that she be buried quickly if she died, and that her family stay for about an hour. around her grave to pray for her.

And his daughter Fayrouz was said to have witnessed another incident, which is the incident of his vision, which is said to have foretold his death.

She passed away on January 5, 2007, leaving a beautiful legacy of works and great love in the hearts of those who loved her.

It was reported in the press that charges had been brought against the anesthesiologist responsible for the operation, and he was sentenced to three years in prison with hard labor and five thousand pounds bail to stay the execution, but in the end the charge was withdrawn.

She won the Best Second Female Role Award for the character “Fatima” in the film Al-Hayat Muntaha al-Latza from the Egyptian National Film Festival in 2006.

And the artist, Mohamed Sobhi, honored her with a thank you award in 2020
