Soto, Judge and Stanton hit a home run with the Yankees and defeat Houston

NY. Dominican Juan Soto hit a home run and drove in five runs, Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton also hit home runs and the New York Yankees beat the Houston Astros 9-4 this Wednesday.

It was the first time the power trio hit at least one homer in the same game for the Yankees, who won their fifth straight and improved to 6-0 against the Astros this season.

Stanton sent the ball at a speed of 119.9 mph to the second deck, the most powerful hit so far in the Major League season. It was Stanton’s third-highest home run since he began tracking it through the Statcast system in 2015.

New York starter Carlos Rodón (3-2) bounced back from his worst outing of the season last week in Baltimore. He allowed two runs and seven hits in 6 1/3 innings.

Kyle Tucker and Jeremy Peña homered for the Astros, who suffered their fourth straight loss and fell to 12-24.

New York beat the Astros for the ninth consecutive time dating back to last year. The season series concludes this Thursday at Yankee Stadium.

Dodgers beat Marlins 3-1

Dominican Teoscar Hernández hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Miami Marlins 3-1 to record their sixth victory.

Gavin Stone (3-1) continued the streak of solid starts for the Dodgers, who completed their homestand undefeated.

Freddie Freeman pitched in with a two-out double, hitting the right field wall.

Then, Hernández found a changeup from Ryan Weather (2-4), with the count full, and sent the ball just over the wall between left and center field.

Nick Gordon stretched out his arm but missed the ball with his glove.

Hernández drove in the three runs for Los Angeles in a game that lasted just one hour and 55 minutes. His RBI single to right marked the fourth straight game the Dodgers have scored in the first inning.

Dominican Bryan de la Cruz homered for the second consecutive game, for Miami’s only run.
