Sotirios Papagiannopoulos, 33, resident of AIK.
The centre-back has extended his contract over the coming season with an option for another year.
Papagiannopoulos is thus getting ready for his fifth season in the AIK jersey.
– Staying in AIK is what I have strived for all along. AIK is my home and I look forward to getting started next season. I will do everything I can for AIK to get back to where we belong. I also want to say a big thank you to all the supporters for the love I have received and receive, says Papagiannopoulos to AIK’s website.
He has previously been open that he wants to continue in AIK. He has been on an expiring contract during the season and has said he wants to see a move from AIK to extend.

In total, he has made 114 competitive matches for the club since he joined in the summer of 2020 – and there will be more.
– It is a great pleasure for us at AIK to extend the contract with Sotte. Sotte is a leader on and off the field, and despite his age, he is still always available in training and matches, says AIK’s sporting director Thomas Berntsen.
