SOS Médecins creates a health data warehouse to optimize care

This is a new major milestone that the health data warehouse managed by SOS Médecins France, an associative structure that brings together 64 associations and 1,300 doctors for general medical emergencies, excluding vital emergencies, throughout France, has just reached. CONTACT, the name given to the warehouse, received authorization last August from the National Commission for Information Technology and Civil Liberties (CNIL), SOS Médecins France indicated on September 2, 2024.

From the call to the final consultation

The warehouse will collect, process, store and make available data from millions of patients treated each year. In detail, this centralized structure will host “call handling data, pure administrative data (patient identity, location of visit, consultation or teleconsultation), data relating to the consultation itself (vital parameters, diagnosis, etc.), data relating to prescriptions (prescriptions, imaging, laboratories, etc.) and patient monitoring data“, says Céline Falco, doctor and coordinator of the CONTACT project, approached by The Digital FactoryThe data collected will be coded according to CISP-2 (International Classification of Primary Care) and will meet interoperability standards (OMOP).
