Getting rewarded for sorting your glass is the spirit of the Cliiink system. It is being installed on two hundred collectors of the Intercommunal Syndicate for the Collection and Treatment of Household Waste (Sictom) in the Montluçonnaise region since October 5.
“Out of the 85 municipalities managed by Sictom, there will eventually be a Cliiink system in each of them. For cities with several glass collectors, 50% of them will be equipped ”
Rémi Borowiak (Director of Sictom)

That is half of the four hundred existing collection points in the territory. “More than 50% of the systems have already been installed in a month,” he adds.
But, by the way, what is the Cliiink system?
As soon as a glass object is put in a collector, people earn points which, cumulatively, allow them to obtain reductions with local partners or national brands.
“Currently, people can choose from 34 partner offers,” informs Rémi Borowiak. The contract with the company Terradona, which develops Cliiink, aims to make around 100 offers available all the time, with 140 to 150 partners in total. “The traders seem ready to play the game, assures us Cliiink. This is good news, ”he said.

With Cliiink, new sorters have appeared
“More than 100,000 glass waste has been collected in containers equipped with Cliiink since October 5,” says the director of Sictom. Even if, for the moment, the tonnage of waste does not change, the craze is there.
“With 3,114 accounts created in one month, this is the best start in the history of Cliiink for a medium-sized city like ours, we were told”, enlightens Rémi Borowiak.

And it’s not just regulars who find their way back to collectors. “There are new sorters, they call us to ask us where the containers are. “
This already quasi-success, the director of Sictom explains it by “the good communication which was made around this innovation”. If the device works well, it reserves the right to increase the proportion of equipped collectors.
