Cardiff –
Gareth Bale know the suffering that people are going through Ukraine at the moment. But, Bale doesn’t want to be merciful because of the mission Wales is pass to 2022 World Cup.
Since the Russian invasion last March, the situation inside Ukraine is still tense. As a result, the country’s football league had to be temporarily suspended so that many players could not compete regularly.
Even the 2022 World Cup Playoff Semifinal match against Scotland was only carried out in the middle of last week. The result was satisfactory because Ukraine won 3-1 and will challenge Wales in the final match on Sunday (5/6/2022) tonight WIB.
Of course Ukraine wants to seize the ticket in order to give gifts to its people who are suffering right now. However, their mission is not easy because Wales certainly has the same mission.
Moreover, Wales has not appeared in the World Cup for a long time since the last 1958. Bale as Wales’ best player is currently determined to advance the country to Qatar in November.
Bale admits Wales sympathize with what happened to Ukraine, but sport has a different meaning and his country wants to qualify for the World Cup.
“We are in good shape, but we want to qualify for the World Cup for the sake of our country and our fans,” he said Gareth Bale as quoted ndTV.
“Everyone in the world is saddened by what happened in Ukraine. But this is football, this is a competition, a sport that unites everything.”
“We will be the most popular team in the stadium, that’s the most important thing.”
