The management of the International Film Festival of Marrakech has announced that the jury of its 19th session, which will be held from 11 to 19 November, will be chaired by the Italian director Paolo Sorrentino.
“The Marrakech Festival for me is the place where my dream of seeing many films with Martin Scorsese came true and of spending whole days talking about cinema with him and with other no less talented colleagues. My return this year. at the festival as head of the jury is a great honor for me, I think and I also want to believe that the theaters will fill up again, and I have the firm conviction that the public will soon discover many great films ”.
This is what Sorrentino said, adding: “To be a witness to this new awakening from this very symbolic position, and to discover the cinema of tomorrow from a cultural and geographical point of view of great importance, is a further beautiful gift for me”.
