After his successful re-election to the cantonal council, he has now decided to withdraw from local politics. Yesterday, Monday, March 6, Maria Sorgo was elected as his successor as CO parliamentary group leader, as the party reports. The previous deputy parliamentary group leader has been politicizing in the city parliament for nine years and is a member of the Commission on Security and Social Affairs. In 2021, Sorgo presided over Parliament. She will share the leadership with the previous co-group leader Bea Helbling. This has led the parliamentary group together with Roland Kappeler since last year, has been a city parliamentarian for twelve years and is a member of the supervisory committee (AK) of the parliament. The economist Katja Hager will succeed Kappeler in the city parliament.
