According to the industry on the 25th, Sorento sold 76892 units in Korea from January to November this year. Considering that the average monthly sales this year is 6990 units, the annual sales volume will exceed 80,000 units. Sorento, launched in 2002, sold 8,715 units in 2016.
The new record for Sorento is that the preference for SUVs with wide interior and loading space has recently increased, and hybrid models that can reduce fuel costs are gaining popularity. Sorento hybrid model contracts are over 37,000 units, more than 35% of the total.

– The Sorento Hybrid started a pre-contract in February of this year, but the day after its launch, the sale of the Sorento Hybrid was stopped due to an incident that did not meet the government’s green car certification standards. Looking at the sales volume of actual customer delivery, Sorento Hybrid sold 22,246 units from January to November this year, accounting for 27.6% of the total sales of Sorento. During the same period, the most sold hybrid car in Korea was the Grandeur Hybrid, which sold 3,5634 units. Hybrids account for 26.1% of the total sales volume of Granger, which means that hybrids account for a higher share of Sorento.
