KARMOY: Firefighters and law enforcement moved on Saturday afternoon after acquiring stories of big portions of tar in the Karmsundet.
– It had a whole of 5,000 liters of tar and this tar then floated off and manufactured its way to Skudeneshavn, states service manager Evy Fjeldheim at Haugesund law enforcement station.
He has no details on the origin of the tar, but the law enforcement intervened on the spot and questioned several persons.
– I believe that a legal situation will be opened at the North Sea and Atmosphere Section in this article in Haugesund, says Fjeldheim.
The Norwegian coastal administration was also informed of the tar. Police have been educated of the spill on Saturday at 3:30 pm.
