Soprano Jodie Devos handed away – Place de l’Opera

Belgian soprano Jodie Devos died on the age of 35, surrounded by her household and family members, from breast most cancers. This was reported by her company, Intermezzo. The opera singer needed to cancel a number of live shows because of her sickness. She got here second on the Queen Elisabeth Competitors for singing in 2014.

Jodie Devos was one of the gifted opera singers of her technology. She studied on the Institut de Musique et de Pédagogie in Namur and on the Royal Academy of Music in London.

In 2014 she gained second prize and the viewers prize of the Queen Elisabeth Competitors for singing. She made waves in opera homes at residence and overseas, collaborated with famend conductors and administrators and made a number of albums. Her solo album ‘Offenbach Colorature’ was awarded greatest worldwide within the opera class on the Oper Awards in 2019.

The world of classical music is in mourning and lots of colleagues and opera homes are expressing their condolences through social media.
